We often get asked how we source our coffee. The answer is actually simpler than you’d expect.
We have a strategic partnership with one of the UK’s biggest coffee manufacturers. Working with only ONE partner allows us to –
- Keep prices affordable: We’ve been able to simplify our processes, consolidate our supply chain, and keep our prices low for all.
- Ensure consistency of quality: Flavour and freshness make a big difference to the coffee experience. Working with our partner allows us to ensure that our quality remains consistent and all PIC Coffee drinkers get to enjoy the same level of
deliciousness! - Be more sustainable: We made sure to work with a team of people who believed in the same principles of sustainability as we do. Our partner produces pods with 100% recyclable aluminum so that we create as little waste as
possible.
Since they work with a large number of popular coffee brands, they naturally end up with a lot of excess coffee. Although this coffee tastes perfect, it is rejected due to minor weight differences or surface imperfections.
This is where we come in! We collect the surplus coffee, put it through rigorous quality checks, tests and tastings to make sure that each pod or bean is truly ‘imperfectly-perfect.’ We then send it over to you to enjoy!
To further our eco-friendly mission, our packaging is minimal, functional and 100% biodegradable!
We are always trying to find ways to better our practices- from switching to more sustainable delivery alternatives to improving on packaging. We are proud to be ‘imperfect’, while constantly striving for perfection!
